Kubrick Dreams: A Clockwork Orange

Kubrick Dreams: A Clockwork Orange

This mixtape imagines the soundscape of Kubrick’s era before and after A Clockwork Orange was completed. Were he from different times and places each of these tracks may have informed his vision. The Old Ultraviolence is introduced as the Sirens from Homer’s Odyssey, speaking to young Alex in a recurring motif. These selections are meant to stand with and apart from the original soundtrack (which I love), in homage to Campbell’s Monomyth, conceived here as an ill-fated Hero’s Journey.
